Imagine you’re a teenager and suddenly, without apparent reason, your Dad kicks you out of the house. He does it indefinitely and even at God’s command! This is what happened to Ishmael, the son of Abraham and Hagar. This rejection left deep traces in the history of his descendants.

However, that’s not the end of the story. God didn’t really reject Ishmael. To the contrary. He loved him deeply and He still has that love for his descendants today, the ethnic Arabs. God even has a unique plan with the Arab nations in the Middle East.
On this website a lot of information about Ishmael and the Arabs will be gradually placed. In the future an English translation of the book Rejected and Loved will be available as well. For a taste of what the book is going to be like, you can download this sample.

If you would like to be informed when the English translation of Rejected and Loved becomes available, then please send the message ‘Inform me’ via the Contact page.

The True Believers

Whether it is my westernized Iraqi neighbor or my Syrian friend in the Refugee Center or the adherent of IS, who I met online, each of them says that he is a real Muslim and the others aren’t. Who of them is right? Can we realistically say anything about this?

In this article we look at several kinds of Christians and Muslims. We look at the teachings of their leaders and how their first followers applied these in their lives. After all, they were the ones who knew best what their leader intended. That helps us get an idea about who can be called a true believer today.

Ishmael – Rejected and Loved?

Animation clip of 3 minutes about how God dealt with Ishmael. This has great consequences for his descendants – many of today’s Arabs in the Middle East
